He blackmailed an official by demanding 5 thousand euros, the director of a portal is arrested

A 37-year-old man was arrested by the Police this Thursday, accused of blackmailing a public administration employee to extort money.

37-year-old Elio Laze, the director of a portal, had asked an administration employee for the sum of 5,000 euros to delete some articles he had posted about him. It was this person who reported the 37-year-old to the police, leading to his arrest. He was caught in the office of the entity he ran in Tirana, immediately after receiving 5,000 euros from the administration employee.

The police announce that work continues to identify and capture other citizens involved in this criminal activity.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action, for the criminal offenses of "Coercion by Threat or Violence for the Provision of Property" and "Fraud".
