Elona Bregu, the 40-year-old woman who climbed the oxygen tower of the former Kuçova Plant, threatening to sacrifice herself after being fired for demanding 2 months of unpaid salary from the private firm "Viola Green", confessed after the meeting at the municipality that a solution had been found.

Without providing details about the discussions within the institution, shortly after she came down from the tower and where negotiations averted a tragedy, she said that the only reason she was fired was because she demanded her salary along with her colleagues.

"We found the solution. So what are we going to do, the company (Viola Green) fired us, we went up (to the tower). This is how we will solve it because no other place can solve it. It's about 380 thousand lek, that's what I have, with a sick chick, that's what I have. Why should they fire me, what did I do, I didn't do anything!", she said after leaving the institution.

Asked how many salary arrears had accumulated and the reasons for the dismissal, she added:

"Why did we go there and complain about the salary? It's a private company. I've been here for two and a half months. The salary is 380 thousand lek."

Elona Bregu, 40 years old, also fired from her job, today demonstratively climbed to the top of the oxygen tower at the former Kuçova Plant, attempting to jump and end her life.

Other dismissed employees also shared the reasons for this unusual protest.

"He didn't pay his salary, he fired him. Three people, all three of us. He fired others, four months ago four others were fired. They fired us because we went to the Municipality. We neither cursed nor insulted there," say two of the employees, also fired.
