The prosecution has decided to seize an apartment and a garage of former official Alda Klosi, who was arrested on the evening of February 3 under charges of money laundering. It is suspected that the apartment and the garage benefited from corruption.

Klosi has covered high functions in the administration, as former director of concessions in the Ministry of Finance a few years ago and until July 2022, chief of the cabinet of former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, to then move to the Financial Supervision Authority.

Alda Klosi has been remanded in prison by the court, after the discovery of a sum of money in her house which was stolen by the cleaner Rozeta Dobi.

The former state official, Alda Klosi, is charged with several criminal offenses such as: "Refusal to declare, non-declaration, concealment or false declaration of assets, private interests of elected persons and public servants, or of any other person who has a legal obligation for declaration"; "Cleaning of the products of the criminal offense or chemical activity"; and "False statement before judicial police officer".

The arrest of Klos came after the cleaner Rozeta Dobi who stole the money from her houses agreed to become a repentant justice, admitting that she took large sums of money plus valuables from the house of the former official.
