The General Secretary of OMONIA, Marin Suli, denounced in a statement to the media the pressure and threats that, according to him, are being made to citizens and opposition commissioners by "people of the criminal world and employees of the state administration".
Suli, who is also the chairman of KZAZ no. 88 of Himara, after voting in one of the city's schools, accused the socialist rivals of having threatened the commissioner of the "Together We Win" coalition, in the village of Vranisht.
"The elections should have gone much better in a democratic country. We are in a situation where the renaissance administration has almost conquered Himara. It is impossible not to find more than 10 to 15 civil servants exerting pressure in each polling station. Criminal gangs are in every polling station. Our commissioners have threatened their lives, with pressure. It is not a democratic election, it is a forced election. I call on all Himarjots to go and vote an hour earlier. They should not be afraid of the pressures of masquerades, street urchins and gangs. In Vranisht, our commissioner Ilia Gjiçali was threatened with his life. In the school in the 1 May neighborhood, the same thing. Administration officials and members of the Vlora municipal council have been threatened by the commissioners. We referred them to the police. These will be the object and subject of denunciations and criminal charges after the end of the election process", said Suli.
