19 fire foci have been identified throughout the country. According to the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies, 8 outbreaks have been extinguished so far, while 11 remain active.
The operational forces are continuing the work for the final isolation of the fires in the Shebenik National Park area in the municipality of Librazhdi, as well as for bringing the fire under control in the village of Poroçan in the municipality of Gramsh.
In the village of Kus, Mali Lugë in the municipality of Tirana, the fire is under control and does not pose a risk of spreading. Meanwhile, the firefighting forces and the Forestry Service monitor the hearth in the village of Bolën in Himarë, where a fire has been activated on the surface of grasses and pastures in Malin e ?ipini.
In the village of Shkalle, Konispol municipality, a fire outbreak in the pasture is under control and there is no risk of spreading. In the village of Karroq in Finiq, an outbreak of fire in difficult terrain is being monitored by the Ministry of Education and Culture and currently does not pose a risk of spread.
In Tërnovë village of Bulqizë municipality, in the "Cow Forest", several fires have been reactivated since yesterday. Local fire and emergency services are working to bring the situation under control.
In the village of Karmë in Vaun e Dejës, a fire has been activated in a forest area with dense vegetation where, due to the difficult terrain, intervention with firefighting equipment is not possible. To bring the flames under control, which are being favored by the strong wind, they are working from the ground and from the air.
146 operational forces and 5 firefighting vehicles, supported by 130 members of the Armed Forces and the Cougar helicopter, have been engaged in firefighting operations.
