The rain that fell last night did not affect the fire in the Kaprre neighborhood of Theth to be completely extinguished.

Despite the intervention of various structures and the residents of the area themselves, the flames of fire in Kaprre i Shala continue to be active, risking the burning of forest areas.

Police notification:

The fire in the Kaprre neighborhood in Theth started at noon on August 14 and continues today after 24 hours have passed.

Shkodër Municipality announced a day ago that the flames have been brought under control and that there is no danger to the houses near the place involved in the fire.

But the focus of the fire has been reactivated once again today, alerting the residents of Theth, who have organized themselves to help put out the flames, even though it remains difficult, due to the rugged mountainous terrain and the danger it presents for intervention from the earth. Together with the residents engaged in this operation, there are also the fire brigade, employees of the Saddle unit and specialists of the Forest Service. The reactivated hearth is favored by the wind there.

Civil emergency structures and the National Civil Protection Agency are coordinating to monitor the situation so that the flames do not reach the residential area.

Meanwhile, the environmental damage caused by this fire in Kaprre i Theth is significant due to the burning of forest areas.

A day ago, in addition to the intervention from the ground, the residents also asked for intervention with airplanes or helicopters of the Armed Forces from the air for the complete extinguishing of the flames, but so far such a thing has not been possible.
