In a press conference where he listed a number of cases of cyber crimes, which are mainly related to the blackmailing of minor girls with the publication of intimate images or videos on profiles created on social networks, the head of the police of Tirana, Tonin Vocaj, also stopped in two cases of ATM theft with cloned cards.
The first case is related to the coded operation "Goldish Axe", during which the criminal activity of 3 Romanian citizens, who managed to steal money from ATMs in Tirana, was legally documented.
"Through the production of cloned credit cards, stolen credit cards and by damaging various ATMs, to then interfere with their computer systems, they have stolen various amounts of money, in various financial institutions operating in the city of Tirana."
During the investigations of this police operation, 4 thefts of this nature and 2 others remaining in the attempt were revealed and documented with legal evidence.
Vocaj clarified that the Albanian police is collaborating with Interpol to realize the capture of these citizens.
The second case is almost similar, since in the framework of the "Virtual shade" operation, 25-year-old Lorent Granica, with French citizenship, was detained, who, during his stay in Tirana, through virtual bank cards stolen in various European countries, made various payments to financial institutions operating in our country.
