Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted again to citizen protests opposing the construction of a luxury resort in Zvërnec.
From the Porto Montenegro hotel in Tivat, Montenegro, the head of government took the opportunity to ironize critics of this project, describing the area where it was located as a "pearl" invested by someone who was once expelled from Albania.
Rama said that the fault of old politicians, whom he called "honxhobonxho", caused the neighboring country to overtake Albania in tourism development. However, he assured that such a thing will not happen again and that major projects will move forward despite opposition.
At the end of his message, the Prime Minister emphatically emphasized that no one can stop the march of what he calls "New European Albania."
"Live from the pearl that someone brought here who drove him out of Albania. Oh boy, these little brothers once passed the ball to us for a saddle, because of our honxhobonxhove who let the ball go to sea."
"But now there is no more talk, let all those who say they don't want or don't love us forget, because the ball of the history of New European Albania is passing us by again," Rama wrote.
