Prime Minister Edi Rama's prayer at the Basilica of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Regina di Albania

O Mary, sweet Mother of Good Counsel, so beloved of the sons of Albania at home and abroad!

Today we come to you, once again, to entrust our people, our families, our youth to you. You who are the Lady of Shkodra and all of Albania, guide us on the path of goodness, give us light in our doubts and comfort in the trials of life. Under your protection we seek refuge, O Blessed Virgin.

Protect Albania, enlighten our minds, and make us always faithful to your Son, Jesus.

O Lady of Good Counsel, pray for us!

At the start of his visit, Rama visited the famous basilica of Genazzano, where the image of Our Lady of Good Counsel is located, on a piece detached from the wall of the Church of Shkodra in the distant year 1467.

Also, during his official visit to the Vatican, Prime Minister Rama will visit the Apostolic Palace of the Vatican where he will be received in the "San Damaso" courtyard by the Prefect of the Papal Household and His Holiness's Gentlemen.

Rama will then hold a meeting with Pope Leone at the Papal Library of the Apostolic Palace. Next on the agenda is a visit to St. Peter's Basilica, the Stanza delle Lacrime, Cappella Paolina, Sala Reggia, Sistina and the altar of St. John Paul II.

At the end of their stay in the Vatican, Prime Minister Rama and his wife will visit the burial place of Pope Francis in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore.
