Fiks Fare denounced on Wednesday evening the attempts being made by the concessionaire firm "Bankers Petroleum" and a subcontractor company to hide the injury of a worker inside the oil wells.
The incident occurred in September 2025, when the worker Llazar Kumaraku remained in a coma for more than 2 months. He has not yet been questioned, while those who caused the accident continue to work, both the company and the employee. Although several months have passed, the prosecution has not managed to conduct an expertise of the cameras, since the footage has not been found, while the citizen has not yet made the forensic report.
Llazar Kumaraku, a resident of Marinza, contacted Fiks Fare saying that on September 24, 2025, he was injured.
"The incident occurred in the Padi D area, where engines are repaired, there is also a well center. There is mechanical and engine work. I was employed by a company owned by Viktor Bistika. He has a contract with 'Bankers' as a private company and deals with the transport of materials for wells for well services, engines. I had 1 and a half years of insurance. On the day of the incident, I was about to get a motorcycle. I didn't like him as a driver. I put the chains on the equipment and connected them to the crane. The moment he opened the crane, I told him that the distance was too great. He tells me that, I know," Llazar claims.
He further adds that the moment he places the chains on the device, driver Andi Grëmi makes a wrong maneuver.
"The crane's head comes and hits me. He screamed and got away from the crane. That's all I remember, I don't remember the rest. He shouldn't have acted. I had injuries to my head, ribs, and body. Thank God I'm alive. After I was hit, they took me and took me to Fier. Fier couldn't hold me and I went into a coma in Tirana, to the Military Hospital. I stayed for 2 months and 15 days," he claims.
Llazar adds that when he left the hospital, he went to the Fier Prosecutor's Office, because he didn't know who had the case. "I wasn't questioned, and to this day I haven't been. Now they tell me the case is under investigation. I'm waiting for the Prosecutor's Office to call me to find the culprit. Whoever killed me, that driver was irresponsible and that driver had a license when he was working, he didn't have any money," he says.
Fiks Fare analyzed the investigative file, where the prosecution's file states that the incident occurred on a property managed by the concessionaire "Bankers Petrolium", while the injured employee and the driver were working for the entity "Viktor Bistika". During the work process, the prosecution writes, the crane's telescope fell, injuring citizen Llazar Kumaraku.
According to her, the crane was mounted on a truck, between the head and the body. This vehicle has been seized. The prosecution also has the vehicle's technical inspection certificate, and even the test results. For this vehicle, there is also a certificate of technical operation by a third party. There is also a vehicle inspection form from the company "Bankers". With these documents, it is determined whether these certificates are formal or whether it was a fatal error of the driver. So far, neither one nor the other has been investigated.
But, what did the owner and driver do?!
Llazar says that the owner and the driver have been prosecuted. "They were detained and then released," he adds, as the release came at the moment Llazar was in a coma. The incident was very serious, but work continues normally at the concessionaire or its subcontractor, as if nothing had happened. The investigations have dragged on and only in recent weeks, the Fier Prosecutor's Office has requested "the performance of a technical-computer expertise of the cameras."
The file details that a DVR with video footage was seized from the “Bankers” company. This device has 128 channels, in which video footage of the area where the incident occurred, at the “Bankers Petroleum” company base, is recorded. The Institute of Scientific Police has sent a letter to the prosecution stating that “it is currently impossible to carry out this act of expertise, as it does not have a license for expertise, until a new license is obtained.”
The prosecution has requested that this expertise be carried out by private individuals. According to it, if the extracted footage is not identified, its recovery should be carried out, also determining the time of deletion, destruction or interventions carried out on this DVR.
So, there are suspicions that the footage has been deleted!
"When he came to the hospital, Viktor Bistika told me that the cameras didn't catch anything ," he claims. The file also includes an act requesting the recovery of the footage. Lazar says that it doesn't matter if the cameras don't catch anything, since the entire area has cameras. He further adds that he made a compromise with the owner, but only to avoid opening a civil lawsuit. The owner "paid him." " I did it for Viktor Bistika that I won't seek compensation from him. From a moral point of view and from what he keeps at work, he has killed me for the second time ," says Lazar.
Fiksi goes to the scene, in the Padi D area, part of the Bankers concession company. The employees say that the driver Anxhi Grëmi works for Viktor Bistika. They further claim that he is still at work. The journalists go to the company's construction site with the owner, while they talk to him on the phone. He initially answers the phone, while pretending that it is not him. He hangs up and Fiksi picks it up again. He answers and says that " now I am Viktor Bistika ", although the voice was the same.
Journalists ask him about the event of September 24, 2025, and he replies that the driver, Anxhi Grëmi, is still at work. He says that if any action is to be taken, the court must decide.
Fiksi asks him if he suspects that an attempt is being made to cover up the entire incident, since the cameras have also been deleted. He replies that there was a camera at the scene and that the Fier prosecutor's office has taken this camera. He says that who is to blame will be revealed after the court's decision is made.
"I demand that the incident be clarified. To this day, I continue to receive treatment, to undergo physiotherapy. I have serious injuries, muscle tears," the employee concludes.
