SPAK chief Altin Dumani was asked by Democratic MP Gent Strazimiri regarding the security measures against DP leader Sali Berisha, who is required to appear twice a month.
"Honorable Mr. Strazimir, this security measure was set by decision of the GJKKO and only it can terminate the security measure. It is not within the competence of SPAK to decide on the termination of a security measure," said Dumani.
We are talking about the "Partizani" file, for which opposition leader Sali Berisha is accused of "passive corruption of high-ranking officials", committed in collaboration, while his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi is accused of active corruption and money laundering.
The file is related to the privatization of the former "Partizani" sports complex in Tirana, which was once the property of the Ministry of Defense.
SPAK investigations allege that this process was conducted illegally and brought unfair benefits to Jamarbër Malltez, the son-in-law of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
