Blockages and traffic restrictions

In the context of the protest, the Tirana Police announces that there will be traffic restrictions and parking bans on several main axes of the capital, starting tonight. Specifically, from 11:45 p.m. today, traffic will be blocked and parking of vehicles will not be allowed until the end of the rally on the 'Dëshmorët e Kombit' boulevard, from 'Ura e Dajtit' to 'Ismail Qemali' street.

Also, tomorrow, from 3:00 PM until the end of the protest, there will be a complete traffic blockade on several important road segments. Traffic diversion

The police warn that, depending on the development of the rally and the situation on the ground, there may be restrictions on other road axes of the capital. In such cases, measures have been foreseen to divert traffic to alternative routes, in order to facilitate movement for citizens. " In the event of a blockage, to help citizens who will circulate on these axes, the Tirana Police has taken measures to divert vehicle traffic to alternative routes."

Appeal to citizens

In conclusion, Tirana Police appeal to citizens to avoid driving in areas that will be blocked and to use alternative routes, so as not to impede the progress of the rally.

Also, referring to several public statements, the authorities call on citizens to distance themselves from any illegal actions. “We call on citizens to distance themselves if they are faced with illegal actions that violate public order and security,” concludes the Tirana Police statement.
