Opposition protest, US Embassy appeals to American citizens: Avoid the demonstration!

The US Embassy has called on American citizens to avoid the demonstration, a few hours before the start of the national protest called by the opposition, which will take place at 18:00 in the crossroads .

In a notice addressed to American citizens, the US Embassy writes that increased police presence, road closures and traffic disruptions are expected.

"Albanian State Police has announced that protesters can block intersections in different parts of the city of Tirana", the announcement states.

The US Embassy asks its citizens to monitor the media as well as follow the instructions of local authorities.

Event: A demonstration is scheduled to take place on Monday, October 7. Protesters plan to gather at the Prime Minister's Office at 6:00 p.m. Increased police presence, road closures and traffic disruptions are expected.

The Albanian State Police has announced that protesters may block intersections in different parts of the city of Tirana. US embassy personnel have been advised to avoid the demonstration.
