Many Albanians want to leave for other countries in rafts and there have been quite a few cases where they have been caught by the police. The most recent was a case shared on social networks, where you can see Albanians who headed for England, but were stopped by the French police.
In an attempt to cross from a beach near Dunkirk in the video, they are attacked with spray by the officers to prevent them from leaving. Channel 4 News reports that the group of immigrants included Albanians, Kurds and Iraqis.
Recently, one of the people who was part of this group of Albanians who tried to leave in a dinghy towards Britain, confessed to ABCNews that he paid 4 thousand euros but the trip did not go as planned after they were caught by the police. The citizen says that it is the 3rd time that he tries to leave for Great Britain.
"In this boat, the police pierced him with a knife, which was shared on social networks and in foreign media. I was on this occasion, me and my son. The police caught us, some ran away and some turned us back. Rafting is very dangerous but I have no experience here. Rafting is playing with life.” said the citizen.
Among other things, he also showed the difficult journey, saying that anyone who tries it concretely is playing with life.
"There is nothing worse than a raft trip. Don't ask him. There it is cut, drowned, drowned!"
"I had contacts with a friend. 2 way £12k. I paid 4 thousand euros for the last trip. We mostly traveled at night. First round 7 hours, second round about 4 hours. While we were caught in this last raft," said the citizen.
