The 62-year-old man who injured his wife and son in the village of Qesarake in Korca has been neutralized. He was found dead in the apartment. The "Renea" Special Forces, in cooperation with the local Police of the Maliq Police Station and the services of the Korca Local Police Directorate, for more than 8 hours surrounded the residence of the citizen Ramiz Muçollari in the village of Qesarakë, Maliq, who in the evening yesterday he stabbed his wife and son.

The citizen Ramiz Muçollari, after being wounded twice, locked himself in the apartment and did not respond to the call of the Local Police to surrender, but fired a firearm (light machine gun) in their direction.

Under these conditions, the "Renea" Special Forces were urgently dispatched to the scene, which took control of the nearby security perimeter, while the local police was positioned in the remote security perimeter.

During the night, the Special Forces "Renea" made continuous calls to him to surrender, but the 62-year-old did not obey the calls of the Police to surrender and continued to shoot at the Police.

This morning, the "Renea" Special Forces were able to enter the second floor of the residence of the citizen Ramiz Muçollari, who had climbed to the attic of the apartment and opened fire in the direction of the "Renea" Special Forces, risking seriously their lives.

The "Renea" Special Forces, in full compliance with standard procedures, responded with fire and the exchange of fire continued for about an hour. As a result of the exchange of fire, the 62-year-old man lost his life.

We emphasize the fact that the citizen Ramiz Muçollari suffered from mental health problems and yesterday he visited his family members in the psychiatric hospital, but was not admitted to the hospital, and in the evening when they returned home, he started a conflict with his family members.

The investigative team is at the scene and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, the examination of the scene continues for the complete legal documentation of this case.
