During the month of July 2023, the Police finalized 119 police operations and mega-operations, and arrested 705 perpetrators suspected of various criminal offenses.

As a result of these operations and mega-operations, thousands of cannabis seedlings and plants were destroyed, as well as 33 firearms, 1 light machine gun, 1 grenade, parts of firearms, 11 shotguns, about 2.5 kg of cocaine and cannabis were seized, as well as and thousands of doses of these narcotics.

34 operations against the cultivation of narcotic plants have been finalized in the territories of 7 different districts.

Another 15 anti-narcotics operations have been completed, which hit the transportation, sale and attempt to traffic (in doses, packages and quantities) narcotics cocaine and cannabis.

12 operations against the illegal possession of weapons have been finalized, which resulted in the seizure of weapons that had served or would serve crime, that were possessed without a permit or that would be trafficked to the RMV.

The police destroyed 7 criminal groups for serious crimes against the person, distribution of narcotics, armed and violent theft, forgery of documents in an improvised environment like a laboratory, trafficking of motor vehicles to the RMV, for fraud through a call center subject or for the purpose of benefiting from the VAT tax.

Also, the Police seized from these groups, arsenals of weapons, drugs, money, armored vehicles, tools or equipment with which they committed crimes and other assets.

One of these groups, which had committed several murders and provided the conditions for the commission of others, was destroyed as a result of the highly complex coded operation "Metamorphosis".

6 conflicts and criminal events that could escalate or be carried out using weapons were prevented in Lushnja, Pogradec, Durrës and Kurbin.

In Lushnja, the "Chain" operation revealed a murder committed in 2019, while the "Unintended Consequence" operation revealed an attempted murder, committed on March 30 of this year.

The international operations "Rugantino" and "Castellon" arrested in our country 3 citizens who were hiding from the authorities of Italy and Spain, who accused them of being members of 2 international organizations for drug trafficking. Also, as a result of cooperation with British partners, the last citizen wanted for the murder of businessman Ardian Nikulaj was arrested.

14 completed operations against economic and financial crimes (2 of them consecutive in the port of Durrës) resulted in the seizure of real estate worth 10 million euros (from crimes in the field of narcotics), 146,290 euros, 5,548 kilograms of smuggled clothing , food and pharmaceutical products that were sold illegally, as well as with the blocking of some bank accounts where money generated in violation of the law circulated.

22 anti-theft operations were finalized, which prevented, struck immediately after the commission or cleared up cases of this criminal activity, as a result of the trust of citizens and tourists who immediately reported to the State Police. The operations arrested perpetrators and co-perpetrators of these cases, as well as made it possible to seize significant amounts of stolen money and other valuables, license plates to be sold to the criminal contingent, perpetrators' vehicles and cloned keys.

The Tirana Police finalized 3 operations with a focus on cracking down on computer crimes through different platforms. He also appealed to the citizens to be vigilant and careful not to fall prey to online sites that deceive with the aim of selling various products.

The police of Gjirokastra completed 6 operations to crack down on the illegal transportation of dozens of immigrants to EU countries, while the police of Korça and Fier cracked down on 3 cases of the illegal organization of gambling.

The employees of the Rrogozhin Police Station were fully committed to ensure the smooth running of the local elections held in this city, on July 23, without incident.

The Road Police Services, equipped with modern logistics, were present during the month of July, in all axes of the country, with the sole purpose: preventing road accidents and facilitating the movement of road users during the tourist season.

During this month, as a result of preventive work and continuous monitoring:

✔ 251 drivers were arrested, of which 122 for driving while intoxicated and 129 for driving without a driving license.

✔584 driving licenses have been suspended, of which 379 for exceeding speed limits, 138 for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages and 67 for other violations of the Highway Code, for which this administrative measure is provided.

The Border Police Services have provided quality, fast and ethical service to citizens entering/exiting in all border crossings of the country. Controls based on risk analysis have guaranteed the free and safe circulation of citizens, goods and services, as well as a tourist season with high security standards.

The police seized about 70,000 euros undeclared in the Port Vlorë, Muriqan and Morinë PKKs, and initiated criminal proceedings for each of the owners of these amounts.

In addition, the services of the Border Police have detected and dealt with: 36 cases of illegal border crossing, 8 cases of using false documents to cross the border, 7 cases of motor vehicle trafficking, 6 cases of smuggling of goods for which payment is made excise or that are licensed and 2 cases of narcotics trafficking.

At the same time, the 24/7 presence of Police services, in all tourist spots of the country, has generated order, security, increase in visitors from all over the world and gratitude of citizens and tourists for the work of the State Police. In this context, during this month:

In 22 cases, dozens of local and foreign tourists were given help after they were stranded at sea or in rugged mountainous terrain;

196 vessels were found to be illegal, in Lake Koman and in other water spaces under the jurisdiction of the Vlora and Durrës municipalities. 4 corridors for the passage of vessels, built illegally, were destroyed in Velipoja. The authors of these illegalities were punished administratively, in accordance with the laws;

28 subjects were punished on the beaches of Vlora and Durrës, as well as near the lake of Pogradec, after they had illegally occupied the public space, for placing 2359 umbrellas and sunbeds (which were seized by the Police), for parking vehicles or for carrying out other profitable activities;

In 23 subjects near the residential centers, music was found outside the established schedule. The owners were prosecuted, while the music equipment was seized to prevent further disturbance to holidaymakers.

52 cases of illegal constructions, on beaches for profit purposes, as well as within the yellow line in cities, were struck by Police structures in the districts.

The police immediately intervened in 18 cases of arson, committed intentionally or carelessly, in several regions of the country. The investigations carried out for these cases have resulted in the identification and criminal proceedings (arrest, in cases of intentional arson) of the perpetrators of this criminal activity.

The series of anti-drug operation "Parts", by the Police of Vlora and several other operations by the Police of Durrës, hit the criminal activity of the distribution of narcotics cocaine and cannabis, in bars on the beaches and in nightclubs in coastal cities.
