Shpati Lena and Hakim Xhezo are the victims of the assassination attempt that took place on Thursday morning in Panaja, Vlora. They are familiar names to the police, having been involved in criminal activities before.

Lena was arrested in March of this year with two other people, Ariel Kingjin and Kristi Drollin, while they were driving in the Cold Water area, but was later released.

It is suspected that the assassins were 3 people; one in the role of the driver of the vehicle, while the other two in the role of the shooter, opening fire with volleys at the victims' car.

A few minutes after the crime, a burning car was found in Frakull of Fier, which is suspected to belong to the Vlora assassins.

From the preliminary observation and reconstruction of the dynamics of the execution of two people on the Fier-Vlora road axis, which shocked the country this Thursday morning, the police have noticed a great similarity in the execution method with the event that occurred on July 17 at the overpass Fushë-Krujës, where three people were killed.

First , as in the case of Fushë-Kruja, also in the Panaja crossing, the place chosen by the perpetrators for committing the murders is considered a 'dark spot', meaning that there is no camera to film and record the perpetrators.

Secondly , from the preliminary reconstruction of the event, the police believe that in the same way as in the Fushë-Kruja crossing, in the double murder of this Thursday in Vlora, the perpetrators followed their targets for kilometers and when they arrived they hit the place intended for their execution.

Third, the similarity relates to the manner of execution. Even in this case, the dynamics are the same, the perpetrators entered the parade and from the side windows of their vehicle, they allegedly shot at least two people with automatic volleys.

Paraprakisht, dyshohet se ndaj tyre janë zbrazur të paktën 60 fishekë.

Fifth, the similarity between the two events is related to the way the perpetrators escaped. As in the case of Fushë-Kruja, in this case too they left only a few kilometers from the scene and set fire to the vehicle with which they committed the crime. The police later said that the car had Italian license plates and was stolen a year ago. Three Kalashnikov guns were found inside the car.

The only difference between the two events is the number of victims. In Fushë-Kruje, 3 people were killed, while in this Thursday's attack in Vlora, two people were killed. However, in both cases the victims are persons with criminal records in the past.
