Albanian groups organising migrant trafficking on the La Manshi channel have lowered prices and are urging Albanians through social networks to "rush" to go to England before the new Prime Minister is elected to the country.

According to The Sun, they say mainly through TikTok that the new Prime Minister will stop all crossings to La Mansh with a patrol weapon and that the very influx of migrants was the cause of why Boris Johnson left.

Groups have also lowered the price for the 20-mile crossing during good weather up to £2,000 per person, compared to £10,000 in the past months. Meanwhile prices for hidden passage in a truck are around £22,000 and come with a much greater risk of being caught.

Calls have been added after a British intelligence report revealed that four in ten people entering the island in small boats are from Albania. The report says nine gangs stood behind 2,863 migrants who came from June 1 to July 12. Of them, 1,075 were Albanians.

A source told The Sun: "Albanians are being told that hundreds of people will patrol the Channel, fences will guard the coast and they will return and lose their money. When there is a new prime minister, there will be a new lie and this business will continue to flourish."

UK Interior Minister Priti Patel said: "Posts on social media used by criminal smugglers promoting illegal crossings are completely unacceptable. This government is already facing this misleading propaganda online, with law enforcement, social media companies and governments from unfriendly states.

"The UK government is working with the Albanian government on a range of issues, including signing a landmark agreement to leave Albanian citizens without the right to be in the UK in 2021.

"Since then, we have removed over 1000 offenders of Albanian foreign nationals, including some who crossed the Channel illegally to come to the UK."

"The government has a determined procedure to patrol the Channel, including the Ministry of Defence, the Home Office and other departments, and engaging with the French authorities."

"No one should question this government's determination to break the business model of criminal gangs as every government department has been involved in dealing with the issue of illegal migration.

"Under our new Migration and Economic Development Partnership with Rwanda, we will relocate those who are making dangerous, unnecessary and illegal trips to the UK."
