Arjan Tase

The court of Vlora has ordered the security measure "prison arrest" for the former head of the police station, Arjan Tasen, accused of murdering 7-year-old Jonada Avdia while driving the dinghy on the beach of Potami in Himare.

In the court session, Tase did not object to the security measure and apologized to the minor's family and the State Police. " Condolences to the family, apologies to the state police ", said Tase.

He also said in his testimony that he did not want it to happen, but if he had turned the boat in the opposite direction, he could have killed his family, as the woman with the eldest son and the sister with the two children were in the sea.

" I would never want what happened to have happened. I do not want to defend myself and I will not claim any extenuating circumstances. I also want to apologize to all my colleagues in the state police affected by this situation. It should never have happened , but my bad luck.

Only my mother and my little son had boarded the boat. In the sea was the woman with the eldest son and the sister with the two children. If the boat had rolled in the opposite direction I would have killed my family. I didn't want it to happen. I saw that there were waves, I was staying a little away from people , "said Tase.
