Artan Hoxha has spoken about the capture by the Belgian authorities of Leonard Duke, a citizen suspected of being one of the perpetrators of the murder of Santiago Malko.
Invited to the show "The Unexposed", Hoxha said that the Duke was captured in a private villa in Brussels, but it is unclear whether Albania will be able to extradite him.
Hoxha described the enmity between Ervis Martinaj and Leonard Duke, who were initially partners with each other.
"Leonard Duka and Ervis Martinaj were partners in gambling. They paid taxes in this country. Along the way, the alliance fell apart. It was alluded to a 5 million euro that Martinaj took from the Duke. In a moment of clashes, Martinaj's men took the Duke's father hostage. Then the Dukes became allies with other opponents of Martinaj. A sum of 5 million euros was placed on whoever would assassinate him.
They have organized an assassination attempt up to the airport of Pristina. Both sides had informers in the police. They had a lot of cash because they controlled gambling. Martinaj's fate was that the armored vehicles of an important politician in Kosovo came to get him. Martinaj was not hit there.
The moment the conflict with the Dukes began, Martinaj was joined by an adversary he knew well. The duke became a serious threat. After failing in Pristina, they killed Santiago Malko, a close man of Martinaj. They did not think that the police would catch them. At the moment when Santiago Malko was eliminated, Martinaj's streak begins.
Leonard Duka has been captured in a private villa in Brussels. He lived in the middle of Europe. Of the whole group it is the first to be caught and is the most important. That's why he was called Prince Darmian…
The fact that we are dealing with such characters, you understand that 20 years ago, these were called cherra neighborhood...
Now Albania has another problem, it will be very difficult to extradite. He can prevent the extradition with a law firm", declared Hoxha.
