Those who administer the elections consider it first a service to the party, and not a job. But all commissioners, regardless of which party nominates them, are paid by the Central Election Commission.
According to the documents of this institution, the commissioners and enumerators who will be engaged on May 14, will be rewarded with a financial value ranging from 60 thousand old lek to 1.2 million.
The amount of reward is affected by the function.
The chairman and deputy chairman of the CEAZ from the moment of constitution until the announcement of the final result of the elections are rewarded in the amount of 1.2 million lek when they manage more than 80 polling stations, 1 million lek when they have jurisdiction over 50 to 80 polling stations and 650 thousand ALL for CEAZs with less than 50 polling stations.
More or less the same amount of remuneration is applied to the secretary of the CEAZ, while ordinary members of the CEAZ will be paid from 600 thousand ALL.
Commissioners of polling stations and counting groups will be paid less, precisely because they are mainly engaged only for 1 day.
The Chairman of the Voting Center Committee (VCC) is rewarded in the amount of forty thousand ALL, while the member and Secretary of the VCC is rewarded in the amount of thirty-five thousand ALL. The member of the Vote Counting Group (GNV) is rewarded in the amount of 60 thousand old ALL.
