Under strict security measures, Elvis and Gjon Shkambi appear before the Tirana court (VIDEO)

Elvis and Gjon Shkambi were escorted to the Tirana Court today under strict security measures, and are expected to face security measures for the charges against them. 

Elvis Shkambi is accused of murdering Judge Astrit Kalaja in the courtroom on the afternoon of October 6, while his uncle Gjon Shkambi is accused of inciting the murder. 

The hearing is being held under the presence of prosecutor Arenc Çela and judge Marinela Osmani.

Security measures will also be issued for the security officer at the Court of Appeals, Banush Koxhaj, who is accused of abuse of office.

The prosecution has requested prison sentences for all three accused.

The hearing is taking place amid increased security measures inside and outside the court premises, while the court is expected to decide on the measure against the defendants in the coming hours.
