In a statement by opposition councilors to the media, doctor Ilir Alimehmeti emphasized the high pollution in the capital's air and the damage that such a thing brings to the health of citizens.

He stated that the pollution is 18 times higher than the rate accepted by the WHO, while he emphasized that as a result, citizens have cardiovascular problems, respiratory problems, as well as a high impact on the increase in the number of children with autism.

" Pollution with very fine particles, PM 2.5, is 18 times more than the rate allowed by the World Health Organization. It causes cardiovascular and respiratory problems. It is also related to autism problems.
The risk increases by 64 percent if a child is exposed to 10 micrograms per cubic meter. We are 33-93 micrograms per cubic meter ," he said.
