The airline "Air Albania" has fallen prey to a cyber attack by a group of hackers called "LockBit", who have ransomed them as a condition to pay a significant amount of money.

This type of attack consists in taking the data "hostage" through hacking the company's systems, which is then threatened to pay a sum of money in exchange for regaining access or not publishing the data.

The news was confirmed by criminology professor Ervin Karamuço, who wrote in a status on social networks that he had warned about this a long time ago.

The "LockBit" hacker group is reported to have asked the company to pay an amount of money, which has not been made public, but it is learned that they have set February 14 as the deadline to pay the amount. No such attack has been reported to the relevant authorities.
