The Supreme Court has registered the request of former President Ilir Meta to replace the security measure "prison arrest" with another, lighter measure.
The appeal was registered on November 3 and Ilir Panda was also assigned through a draw as the rapporteur judge.
Meta's request comes a few days after it was rejected in the Special Anti-Corruption Appeal.
Ilir Meta was arrested by order of SPAK on October 21, 2024, on suspected charges of corruption, money laundering, and concealment of assets.
