The Special Court sets June 20 as the date for the hearing of former President Ilir Meta, who is seeking verification of the conditions of the measure and replacement of the security measure of "prison arrest".
Preliminary investigation judge Erjon Çela has set 11:30 a.m. to review the request of Ilir Meta, who has been held in custody since October 21 of last year.
Meta's defense requests the replacement of the security measure from arrest to prison with another, more lenient measure, since according to him, in the "Meta" case, the deadlines have been violated by 8 months and in no case has SPAK submitted two-month information on the case. Also, several decisions of the ECHR have been presented in the arguments, as analogous cases, including the "Gëllçi" file.
