The "Turgut Ozal" network of schools, funded by the Turkish philanthropist Fetullah Gulen, has announced an extraordinary press conference after the recent decisions of the Albanian government to close the "Zubeyde Hanim" kindergarten and the "Mhmet Akif Ersoy" school, part of this society.
"Turgut Ozal" in the announcement distributed to the media announces that the conference will be held tomorrow at 10:00 on Bernardin Palja street (former City of Students), in the non-public garden "Zubeyde Hanim".
Turgu Ozal writes that during the conference journalists will have the opportunity to ask questions as the leaders will be ready to answer.
"TURGUT OZAL EDUCATION S.A.
Invitation to press conference. Dear media workers,
Turgut Ozal Education S.A. Society invites you to the press conference related to order No. 540, dated September 15, 2022 of the Ministry of Education and Sports for closing the activity of the Zubejde Hanim non-public kindergarten. During the conference, the representative of the school will answer questions from the media.
Date: September 23, 2022 Time: 10:00 a.m. Place: St. Bernardin Palja (former City of Students), Unit City Hall No. 6, Zubejde Hanim Garden, Tirana", says the announcement.
The closing of the non-public kindergarten "Zubeyde Hanim" was done on the grounds of a serious violation of the license, since according to the Ministry of Education, the building where the activity was carried out was not equipped with the relevant authorization from the ministry.
While for the "Mhmet Akif Ersoy" school, the reason was not given, but the Government through a special VKM forces this educational institution to take measures for the transfer of students to other institutions of pre-university education for all registered students and to return payments made (if any) by the student's parent/legal representative for the unfinished part of the schooling, as well as any other outstanding obligations that may be owed to the student.
As it seems, these decisions have come after constant pressure from Turkish President Erdogan, where he asked the head of the Albanian Government for concrete steps to fight the Gülenists as a "precondition" for friendship and partnership between the two countries.
