The African heat wave that has engulfed Albania this week has marked its peak today with temperatures that went above 42 degrees Celsius.

According to forecaster Lajda Porja from Meteoalb, the highest temperature was recorded in Berat, where the thermometer recorded 42.5 degrees C.

According to forecasts, the situation starts to normalize from tomorrow, as there will be a drop in heat by 4-5 degrees.

The African wave is expected to withdraw from the country from Sunday.
