Corruption for a firewood truck, SPAK sends 5 people to trial

Five people accused of corruption for a truckload of firewood illegally cut in Gramsh, have been sent for trial by SPAK.

The defendants are Çelnik Toska, an officer of the Elbasan Judicial Police, Lulzim Hasa, Sefer Shuka, an officer of the Elbasan Judicial Police, and Lirian and Zenel Taragjini.

The Special Prosecutor's Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime conducted 5 months of interception for the truck with firewood, worth 30 thousand Lek.

BKH agents have been investigating by conducting surveillance, filming and photographing Lirian and Zenel Taragjini and their associates for 4 months. They were carried out in Gramsh, where the truck was blocked, they followed it on the way to Elbasan and then inside the city to the premises of the prosecution and the local police.

BKH investigators have kept under surveillance the two judicial police officers, who were suspected of receiving 100,000 Lek for the release of the vehicle and the closure of the case.

According to the file, despite all the attempts to release the truck with wood by the Taragjins, the load was not released by the prosecutor of the case.
