Europa filmed from the ISS

A fascinating video of planet Earth at night has been shared from the International Space Station (ISS).

The video begins in Europe, over Italy, and continues towards the banks of the Nile River, sparkling with the lights of civilization, and all the way to the Indian Ocean.

There, in a fraction of the video, next to Italy's "boot", Albania can also be seen, although for the most part under dense clouds.

"This time-lapse video begins over a cloudy Europe as city lights begin to glow, crosses the Mediterranean, orbits the Nile, then flies over an Indian Ocean cyclone at dawn," writes ISS.
