New details have been revealed from the event, where Melisa Trëndafili , the mother of two minor children, was tried to burn herself alive by her husband, 45-year-old Elton alias Bledar Trëndafili on August 31.

The 45-year-old tried to burn her because of the fact that she had abandoned him a year ago, because he had become a regular drug user.

Before the serious incident, the woman had asked her husband to stop using drugs on many occasions, but her requests had fallen on deaf ears.

But, according to News24, it turns out that the couple did not register the case for divorce with the Court of Korça, even though they had been living apart for 4 months.

Earlier, in the press release, the police stated that the couple is in the process of divorce. During this time, Melisa Trëndafili lived with her mother and two children in an apartment in the 2nd district of Korça.

While according to the data, it does not result that Melisa Trëndafili requested a protection order against the 45-year-old, but the very attitude of the separated couple, since it created the first sparks of jealousy, which then pushed Bledar Trëndafili to undertake the extreme act.

In the first moments of the incident, the 31-year-old woman received first aid from a neighbor, who intervened by removing the clothes caught in the flames and was then transported to the Korca hospital, where she received first aid from the doctors, to was then sent to the plastic incineration department at QSUT.
