Amar Shkëmbi alias Dritan Shkëmbi, who is accused of being involved in the assassination attempt against former prosecutor Arjan Ndoja, in which driver Andi Maloku was killed, has been extradited to Albania from Dubai.

Amar Shkëmbi alias Dritan Shkëmbi was arrested in Dubai on February 23, 2023. He is also known to be a member of Plaurent Dervishaj's group.

In 2022, the GJKKO imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" on Shkëmbi for several criminal offenses.

Dritan Shkëmbin is accused of his involvement in the organized assassination attempt against former Durrës prosecutor Arjan Ndoja in 2019. The 41-year-old is suspected of being in the car that, together with two other people, opened fire on the vehicle carrying former prosecutor Arjan Ndoja, who was driving on the Shkozet overpass on the 'Tirana-Durrës' road.

Dritan Shkëmbi, declared wanted by SPAK, is known as a member of Plaurent Dervishaj's gang, declared wanted after the confession of Luftar Reçi, who has shown the dynamics of the murder of Klodian Saliu, a murder in which the justice collaborator has shown that he himself participated, together with Plaurent Dervishaj.

A citizen accused by the Criminal Court of Kosovo for serious crimes against several people is being extradited from Dubai.

As a result of the consistent cooperation of specialists from the Interpol Directorate with their counterparts in Abu Dhabi, the extradition procedure to Albania, from the United Arab Emirates, of the Albanian citizen A. Sh. alias D. Sh. was finalized.

He was declared an international wanted person, after in 2022, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the following criminal offenses:

-"Murder of public officials", attempted, to the detriment of citizen AN;

-"Murder in other qualifying circumstances", resulting in the death of citizen AM, as well as attempted murder to the detriment of citizen AL (PM);

-"Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition";

-"Providing conditions and material means to commit murder", allegedly committed in collaboration with citizens PD, ES, BP, JM and RR, to the detriment of citizens AN and AL (PM), these criminal offenses committed within the framework of a structured criminal group;

-"Theft", committed in collaboration and more than once.

From the investigations conducted, it is suspected that citizen A. Sh. alias D. Sh. is implicated in the incident that occurred on 01.11.2019, near the Shkozet overpass, where some citizens who were traveling by vehicle, fired firearms at the vehicle in which citizens AM, AN and AL were traveling. As a result, citizen AM lost his life, and citizens AN and AL were injured.
