Surprise police action in Elbasan! "Crime figures" arrested

A surprise operation was carried out this afternoon in Elbasan, leading to the arrest of at least two people known to be part of the criminal world.

It is reported that the operation took place around 15:30 in one of the well-known bars along the Elbasan-Ish-Metalurgjia road axis, in the village of Katund i Ri.

Law enforcement officers undertook a well-organized operation, initially surrounding the entire area around the bar, before entering the premises where the suspected criminal elements were located.

Information received through operational channels led to the immediate intervention of special forces, who neutralized and arrested several suspects.

The operation has been described as one of the most important recently conducted in Elbasan, a city that has been facing a high presence of criminal groups for years. So far, the authorities have not provided official details on the identity of the arrested or the specific charges against them, while the State Police is expected to issue an official announcement in the coming hours.
