From today, the use of skateboards, or what are known as electric scooters, is prohibited.

The news was announced a day ago by Minister Albana Koçiu, who made public the new rules for public safety regarding the use of electric skateboards.

And after this, enforcement has begun on the streets where skateboard users are being banned from the streets.

A citizen who works as a teacher expressed her dissatisfaction with this decision as she is being prevented from going to work.

"They should set rules for teenagers and those who use it without protective equipment, but not for me, who am in good health," the outraged citizen said.

The reason for the temporary ban on skateboards is due to the increased number of skateboard accidents. Last year alone, 991 skateboard accidents were recorded.
