Journalist Anila Hoxha, invited to the show "Top Story" to discuss who will be the new head of SPAK, initially spoke about the race for the head of the National Bureau of Investigation.

The new head of the BKH was supposed to be in office on September 1, but the process has been delayed.

"In the Special Prosecution Office, there are two developments awaiting the leaders. The head of the BKH, a figure who should have been in charge of the task on September 1, but this was not possible due to the delay in the procedures.

They are currently being reviewed by the Commission on the Issue of Image and Wealth and the names have not yet been returned as three prosecutors who will decide, who are considered a selection committee, will propose to the KLP. The latter decides who will be the director of the BKH.

"The competition has exceeded every possible deadline. BKH did not have its second leader within the deadlines. We are still waiting, a process that continues to be in a verification situation," said Hoxha.

Aida Hajnaj left the leadership of the National Bureau of Investigation after her five-year mandate ended.

Meanwhile, the former head of the High Prosecutorial Council, Alfred Balla, revealed tonight on "Top Story" the clashes between two high justice institutions, SPAK and BKH.

Balla said that during the five years that Aida Hajnaj headed the Bureau of Investigation, there were several allegations but they were not resolved. He said that in order to resolve this conflict, international organizations also intervened.

"I hope this tension will decrease because it has been useless and beyond all logic. The law has clearly divided the powers, where the BKH is at the disposal of the investigation and depends on the Special Prosecution. There was also an intervention by internationals.

"For 5 years, Ms. Hajnaj, the director of the Bureau of Investigation, had several allegations regarding the investigation, preventive surveillance, or competencies. These did not receive any final legal treatment. For the good of the work, it is not worth having such tensions ," said the former head of the KLP.
