The Special Court accepted the request of prosecutor Adnan Xholi and decided to transfer the case to trial in the charge of Amar Shkëmbi and Bledar Polivina, who are suspected of having been involved in the assassination attempt against former prosecutor Arjan Ndoja at the Shkozet overpass.

The decision was given by Judge Bib Ndreca, while in the coming days a draw will be made to determine the trio of judges who will review the criminal case on its merits.

Amar Shkëmbi was wanted by SPAK for this incident, and was extradited from Dubai to Tirana in October last year on behalf of the Albanian authorities.

According to the investigations conducted by the special prosecution, it has resulted that Shkëmbi, together with Bledar Polovina, Plaurent Dervishaj, Julian Meçaj, and Ariol Halilaj acted in the form of a "Structured Criminal Group", committing the criminal offenses of "Theft" committed in the special form of collaboration, "Unlicensed Possession of Weapons", "Attempted Murder of Public Officials", "Murder in Other Qualifying Circumstances", these offenses committed in the form of a "Structured Criminal Group" in the event recorded on November 1, 2019, where Andi Maloku was killed and Arjan Ndoja was injured, as well as Aleksandër Laho, otherwise known as "Rrumi i Shijakut".

The defendants in the same criminal case are Endrit Sinani, Genti Nderjaku, Bashkim Haxhia and Julian Pjetri.
