Two media workers, a journalist and a cameraman, have been the victims of a violent attack while on duty.

The incident occurred yesterday, as according to the authorities, citizen FM, 67 years old, hit journalist DB in the back with a phone, while two private guards, QL, 64 years old and HB, 52 years old, damaged cameraman EE's camera, obstructing him in the performance of his duty.

The 67-year-old has been arrested, while the two private guards have been criminally prosecuted at large.

"The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Police Commissariat No. 3 arrested citizen FM, 67 years old, and referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizens QL, 64 years old, and HB, 52 years old. After yesterday, citizen DB, a journalist, reported that she was obstructed while performing her duty and was hit in the back with a phone by citizen FM. Meanwhile, citizen EE, the cameraman who accompanied the complainant, was obstructed in performing her duty, with her camera being partially damaged while filming by private guards citizens QL and H. B," the Police report.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
