Elbasan police have announced that they have been put into action after a video circulated on social networks, showing a horse tied with a rope behind a moving car.

As a result of the investigations, a 60-year-old man with the initials NL was prosecuted, accused of animal cruelty.

"Immediately after the publication of the video, the services of the Librazhd Police Commissariat carried out actions to identify and escort the driver of the vehicle. At the end of the procedural actions in this case, the specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Librazhd Police Commissariat referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen NL, 60 years old, for the criminal offense of 'Animal Cruelty'," the announcement of the blue uniforms of Elbasan states.

The video that was published online was filmed in a place called Miraka, where the horse was seen tied to a moving vehicle, a gesture that was considered unacceptable by netizens.

The police invite citizens to report any similar cases or violations of the law, ensuring anonymity and impartial response to lawbreakers.
