Although it seemed like a failure of the "Metamorfoza" operation, not realizing the arrest of some of the well-known names of the world of crime, including Behar Bajri, in fact this character has been under full monitoring by police agents.
For more than 1 month since the start of the "Metamorfoza" operation, agents of the operational and research group "FAST" in the State Police have been monitoring the movements of Behar Bajri, Pëllumb Gjoka, Xhevahir Lita and other persons implicated in the criminal actions in the "Metamorphosis" file.
Bajri has been monitored for having left the Albanian border before July 2023, but no action has been taken since the court has not yet issued the measure of "arrest in prison" against him.
Bajri is known to have traveled to Belgium and then to France, staying with some of his relatives in the city of Strasbourg.
Strasbourg is the city of European Justice, as the European Court of Human Rights is also located in this country.
His movements have been controlled by " FAST " agents, who the day before enabled the arrest of the "strongman" of Shkodra.
During the arrest, Bajri did not show resistance while he was in the premises of a cafe.
He has claimed that the accusations are baseless and he is not the person who spoke with the code of "SKY" in the murder of Gjin Boriçi and in the planning of other murders.
But now the two prosecutors of the "Metamorfoza" case, Altin Dumani and Arben Kraja , are expected to send to the French justice, the request for the extradition of Bajri to Albania, where he will face the criminal charges.
Within this week, Behar Bajri is expected to appear before the court of the "Grand Est" region in France, to be familiar with the "prison arrest" security measure that the Special Court in Tirana has imposed.
After this procedure, Bajri will be subjected to the judicial process of extradition. Behar Bajri is charged with several serious charges, such as the murder of Gjin Boric, and the provision of conditions to kill Ibrahim Lici, Genc Tafili and former prison police employee Kleant Musabelliu.
