Italian police have arrested a 42-year-old Albanian man, who was sentenced to 5 years and 11 months in prison by a German court for burglarizing 17 apartments.

His arrest occurred after the car in which he was traveling with two other people did not obey the carabinieri's order to stop.

After entering several alleys along "Selice", the Albanian and the two other people stopped at the cemetery where they attempted to escape on foot, but the carabinieri of the Sant'Agata sul Santerno station managed to stop the 42-year-old, who resisted violently at the moment of arrest.

Initially, he was escorted to the Lugo barracks, where after verification of his fingerprints it turned out that there was a European arrest warrant against him issued by Germany. The Albanian was sent to the Ravenna prison, at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.

Inside the abandoned car, police found a hydraulic pliers for tightening and cutting railings, a professional radio, numerous banknotes, including Chinese and Albanian ones, and a variety of precious stones (rubles and tanzanites) worth around 10,000 euros.
