The review of the file on the death of Dorjana Haka , Alban Hoxha 's partner , who passed away in November 2014, a few days after giving birth to their son, has begun.

The mother of the 25-year-old has appealed for justice, saying that she wishes that the trial would not drag on.

"I hope that the trial will not be delayed. We have been waiting for the word of justice for years," said her mother.

In 2016, the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana requested the guilty declaration of doctors Petrit Rexhepi and Elona Burba .

The prosecution body also requested their punishment of 5 years in prison, at the same time, the doctors were requested to be deprived of the right to practice their profession for a period of 5 years.

In October 2015, the Tirana court opened the trial against two doctors of the " Koço Gliozheni " maternity hospital, accused of the death of the wife of Partizan's goalkeeper, Alban Hoxha.

Dorjana Haka passed away in November 2014, a few days after giving birth to her son through cesarean section. The defendants in the process, the surgeon Petrit Rexhepi and the anesthesiologist Elona Burba, are accused of "negligent treatment" in relation to this case.

According to the Prosecutor's Office of the capital, the death of the 25-year-old was a result of the doctors' negligence and their failure to carry out the necessary tests before and after the operation.

From the table of the representative of the prosecution body, prosecutor Erjon Imeraj reconstructed the health progress of 25-year-old Dorjana Haka from the last days of her pregnancy until the day she passed away.

Referring to an expert report conducted by a group of doctors from the Institute of Forensic Medicine, the prosecutor said that the late Dorjana Haka did not undergo the necessary preliminary analyzes before entering the birth operation.

Further, referring to the investigation, the prosecutor said that there was no recommendation for conducting the analyses, there was no prior anesthesia consultation and that in the case of Dorjana Haka, the procedures of hospitalization were not implemented.

The medical examination after the operation of the 25-year-old woman was also considered insufficient by the Prosecution.

The cause of the immediate deterioration of the state of health of the citizen Dorjana Haka on the second day after the operation was the total thrombosis of the cavernous sinuses of the brain.

“Nga sa u parashtrua, rezulton e provuar se të pandehurit Petrit Rexhepi dhe Elona Burba kanë konsumuar elementet e veprës penale të ‘mjekimit të pakujdesshëm’, pasi sipas akt-ekspertimit dhe deklarimeve të marra, nuk kanë marrë masat e nevojshme para dhe pas operatore për të parandaluar përkeqësimin e gjendjes shëndetësore të shtetases Dorjana Haka, e cila më pas ka gjetur vdekjen”, thuhej në kërkesën për gjykim.
