Greece delays extradition of hotel owner who killed receptionist in Himara

As 1 year has passed since the serious incident of the murder of Eraldo Nevruzi, who served as a receptionist at the "Grecia" Hotel in Himara, the Vlora Prosecutor's Office has communicated the charges against the three people involved in this event, taking the file against them for review to the court.

According to the investigations carried out by the prosecution, the perpetrator of the murder with a firearm of Eraldo Nevruzi is the owner of the hotel Gerald Shehu, who only a few hours after the crime left for the island of Corfu. Geraldo Shehu was detained trying to leave by plane to London, reports Ora News.

While after 1 year from the event, the Vlora prosecutor's office is facing a negligence of the Greek authorities for the extradition of Shehu to Albania.

Shehu has been charged with "Premeditated murder" and "Possession without a permit".

For Shehu, the Vlora prosecutor's office has requested his extradition to Albania several times, but the arrested man argues before the Hellenic courts that he is a Greek citizen and in case of extradition to Albania his life is in danger.

As for the other two defendants, Daniel Qose and David Larti, who have been arrested and have cooperated with the police, the charge is "Concealing or destroying Kosovo" and "Committing actions that reveal the truth".

The above two people were employees of the "Grecia" hotel in Himara. Qose and Larti are accused of helping the owner Gerald Shehu put the body of the victim, Eraldo Nevruzi, in a garbage bag and then put it in the trunk of the car.

During the interrogation, both expressed remorse, saying that they did all the actions after the owner threatened them with a gun.

They have destroyed all evidence of the murder, burning the 31-year-old's personal belongings, phone and clothes in the bakery of the hotel pizzeria.
