" I was robbing citizens because I had loans to pay off ," declared the municipal police officer of Tirana, Sajmir Muzikanti, a day after he was arrested together with police officer No. 1, Serxhio Cani, 22 years old, who were taken by force to the citizens in the area of ​​the Artificial Lake.

"Every time I was on the third shift at work, I called Serxhio and told him, let's get out of the lake. Because of the loan I have, I was forced to take money from citizens with difficulty. I did this in cooperation with Serxhio", he testified.

We remind you that the police officer, Serxhio Cani, and the municipal police officer of Tirana, Sajmir Muzikanti, 39 years old, were arrested after they had misused their duty by stopping young people who caught them with hashish cigarettes in the area of ​​the artificial lake in Tirana and fined them.

The operatives put handcuffs on them to make it look as reliable as possible that they were doing their job, and took from 20 to 50 thousand lek, leaving them free in exchange for not accompanying them to the police station. The two officers were under observation by the Police Surveillance Agency, after the complaints received from the citizens.

It is learned that 9 reports were filed against them, but only 3 cases were documented. So, chief policeman Muhamet Rrumbullaku has started the procedures for the dismissal from the State Police for the officer of police station number 1, Serxhio Cani. Since being placed in charge of the Police, Rrumbullaku has so far dismissed 13 officers.
