BKH officers attacked in Fier, the prosecution takes three people to court (NAMES)

The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier has completed the investigations and sent Ledjan Kapllanaj, Klaudio Kapllanaj and Gerald Kollcaku, accused of the criminal offense of "Assault in the Line of Duty", committed in collaboration, for trial.

According to investigations, the incident occurred on April 15, 2025 in the city of Fier, during an investigative operation conducted by officers of the National Bureau of Investigation and the Operational Force of the State Police.

The three young men are accused of detaining and physically assaulting the officers, despite presenting themselves as law enforcement officers.

The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier completed the investigations and sends citizens KK, LK, and GK to trial for the criminal offense of "Assault due to duty", in cooperation, provided for by article 237/3 and 25 of the Criminal Code.

At the end of the investigations on criminal proceedings no. 509 of 2025, conducted in cooperation with the judicial police, it was possible to prove that, on 15.04.2025, police officers from the Operational Force at the General Directorate of Police, together with an officer of the National Bureau of Investigation, went to the city of Fier as planned with service, in order to carry out investigative actions.

During the day, according to the dynamics, they moved to different places in the city of Fier. On the same date, police officers were followed and then detained by the defendants, where despite their presentation as police officers, the defendants, in collaboration with each other, with active actions have exercised physical violence against police officers, due to the exercise of their lawful duty.

In connection with the above incident, the defendants were arrested in flagrante delicto and investigated with the security measure “prison arrest” and “house arrest”.

The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier remains committed to guaranteeing the regular state activity, state authority and the health of persons performing a state duty, from criminal acts.
