The Service Center for Persons with Disabilities, managed by the Down Syndrome Albania Foundation, was recently inaugurated, and the ceremony held today was also attended by the founder of the Mane Foundation, Samir Mane, who has supported this initiative since day one.
The center provides specialized care for children and individuals across the spectrum of disabilities, not just those with Down syndrome. Currently, the space supports over 30 children, many of whom receive free therapy.
This inauguration marks an important moment that reflects the ongoing efforts of the Mane Foundation and the staff of the Down Syndrome Albania Foundation to improve the lives of these people with disabilities.
Over the years, the Foundation has contributed in various ways, providing didactic and developmental tools, supporting therapeutic programs, and helping to create employment opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome, with the aim of enabling them to integrate more easily into society and have access to jobs that enable them to be independent.
As part of the ongoing efforts to support the community, BALFIN employees who will participate in the Tirana Marathon this Sunday will also run for the cause of Down syndrome.
The Foundation's impact extends across the region, and its approach remains consistent: ongoing contributions that help create a tangible and positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
