The GJKKO extends the investigation into the murder of Reni Dobra by 3 months!

The Special Court has accepted the request of SPAK for a three-month extension of the investigation period against Aleksandër, Kristi and Fation Bushgjokaj, as well as Petrit Çakri, accused of the murder of young Renis Dobra. The Special Prosecution argued that the investigations should continue until October, as several important procedural actions remain to be carried out. According to SPAK, it is necessary to complete the examination of mobile phones, as well as to perform fingerprint overlaps, which are considered important for the full clarification of the incident.

The request was opposed by lawyer Erjon Kullolli, legal counsel for Fation Bushgjokaj. He claimed that SPAK had the objective opportunity to carry out these investigative actions within the current deadlines and that there is no reason to further postpone the investigations.

According to the lawyer, up to this stage of the process, the Special Prosecution Office has not managed to prove the elements of the criminal offense of "kidnapping", nor has it argued that this offense was committed within the framework of the special cooperation of a structured criminal group.

The incident occurred on July 8, 2025, while 23-year-old Renis Dobra was found dead on July 9 near Lake Shkopet. Police have confirmed from video footage and evidence that four people Fatjon Bushgjoka (arrested), Aleksandër Bushgjoka, Kristi Bushgjoka, and Petrit Çakrri all participated in the kidnapping of the 23-year-old.

A few days after the incident, Petrit Çakrri was arrested at the entrance to Tropoja. Meanwhile, the main line of investigation continues to be the drug conflict in Germany between the victim and the Bushgjoka brothers. However, it is not excluded that the Bushgjoka brothers and Petrit Çakrri received orders from third parties specifically for the trafficking of narcotics.
