Tear gas fired by police at today's protest

Police appear to have used expired tear gas against protesters on Saturday. One of the discarded canisters, obtained by Vox News, has a manufacturing date of July 2019 and an expiration date of July 2023.

The gas was used at the Prime Minister's Office building after protesters threw Molotov cocktails and fireworks, and was also used at Parliament after clashes between protesters and security forces.

Several police officers were injured by Molotov cocktails and fireworks thrown at the Prime Minister's Office building during the opposition protest.

Police have announced that the injured officers are receiving first aid.
