The 33-year-old Albanian worker became a symbol of humanity after he was photographed saving a sheep from a fire in Patras.
Olsien Muçobega holds the sheep in his arms as he travels on his motorcycle.
The image went viral touching the entire Greek nation and highlighted the more human side of a day of disaster.
However, this was not his only act. As the Albanian reveals, on the same day he rescued other animals, among them tied dogs that had abandoned him.
"Do you know how many animals we saved? And dogs, lots of dogs tied up. I'm crazy about what people do, they run away and leave the dogs tied up. This is not negligence, it is a crime", said the young man.
Olsien, from Tepelena, emigrated to Greece at the age of just 3.
His father was a builder, his mother a housewife, and he grew up working from an early age. During his life, he worked as a painter, distributor and wrapper in a fastfood.
He is married to the Greek Maria-Eleni, with whom he has two children, Georgianna and Jasona. Despite his roots and many years in Greece, he continues to face bureaucratic obstacles.
"Normally I should have gotten a Greek passport," he says bitterly.
On the day of the flames, he was at the scene with friends from the AEK association to help the firefighters.
His love for animals was the motive behind his act. "I'm crazy about animals," the Albanian declared, pointing out that everything they saved belonged to an elderly farmer who was fighting to protect his property.
Olsien does not see himself as a hero, although for many he was. He sees a man who did the obvious, standing next to everything that is alive, at a time when everything was threatened by flames.
