Three bullets took the life of 49-year-old Pëllumb Meta in the afternoon of February 10 in a room in his apartment in Shënvlash, Durrës. 

In the file that the police referred to the Durrës prosecutor's office, " it is revealed that from the examination of the corpse, 3 penetrating gunshot wounds were observed. One on the head, below the ear, and two on the chest and abdomen ."

For this serious crime, the police have arrested the son Hysen and Hygerta Meta , the children of the victim, respectively (25-19 years old), while the other son Amarildo is accused of helping to hide the corpse. Today they appeared before the court for evaluation of the security measures, the report writes .

The disappearance was not accidental

The boy Hysen Meta had reported the disappearance of his father on February 13, on February 18, i.e. the day after the car was found in the Youth sector . of her as leaving the apartment ".

The cameras verified the police's suspicion that we were not dealing with an ordinary getaway, thus providing the first clue that would later lead to the discovery of the macabre crime.

After checking the cameras, they learned that the children took their father's car out of the apartment around 04:15. 3 minutes later they noticed that another car came out of it.

Both cars are headed towards the Youth sector. After both vehicles pass, the Citroen (Victim's car) is not detected returning, but after about 6 minutes, the Audi vehicle (the other car) is observed at 04:34 to turn and move towards the sector,  Rinia - Shënvlash .

First evidence/ The three children and the mother tell the same version 

Referring to reasonable suspicions, the police summoned the children, Hysen Meta, Amarildo Meta, Blerina Meta, and Hygerta Meta, to the Durrës police premises on February 22. Initially, they were confronted with the collected evidence.

Initially, it was possible for Hygerta, the 19-year-old girl, to plead guilty, stating that she had killed her father and buried him in the hut near the apartment. She had sent the vehicle to the Youth Sector, she had thrown the gun in a marshy area near the seashore.

"These actions were initially confirmed by other family members, who in fact stated that they only got to know about this on the afternoon of 22.02.2024"

Then going to the place where it was declared that the body of Pellumb Meta was located.

"Exactly in the area indicated by the declarant Hygerta Meta, which was located in the yard of the apartment at a distance of about 20 m from the corner of the apartment on the south side, the cattle shed was located, where the digging began and after reaching a depth of 110 cm, it was noticed that in this open pit was found the corpse of a citizen wrapped first in a black plasmas, and then in a sheet. The corpse was exhumed and it was established that it was a human corpse, identified as Meta Pigeon, a corpse that had started and decomposition. Due to the condition it was in, the corpse was not opened, but was sent to the morgue of the Durrës regional hospital"

After that, Hygerta was questioned again, who said that she had committed the murder with a TT pistol that her father was carrying without a permit.

"The motive was because of the problems he created for you from time to time and that he recently wanted to engage her with a citizen unknown to him. She did not accept the engagement as she was in school and wanted to finish school, but her father had put pressure on her and wanted his word to come out.

Initially, this declaration was supported by the declarants Hysen Meta, Amarildo Meta, Blerina Meta .

Where was the shell found?

The shell of the model 54 7.62 mm gun was found in the drawer of a sofa located in the living room of the second floor.
