What is hidden behind the closing of "Mehmet Akif"/ The building was bought by Sinan Idrizi, the new one does not meet the conditions

The Albanian government decided yesterday with a decision of the Council of Ministers to close the activity of the high school for girls "Mehmet Akif" in Tirana. The reasons were not disclosed, but the private educational institution was required to provide the students with the necessary documentation.

The Minister of Education Evis Kushi, in a public reaction on the morning of this Friday, indicated that the decision to close the non-public school "Mehmet Akif Ersoy" was taken after a series of violations of the legislation in force.

The building in the center of Tirana, in the "21 Djetori" area, has been sold two years ago to the well-known Vlonjat entrepreneur Sinan Idrizi. So, the reason for the college's move to Kashari has been a business deal.

"At the end of the 2021-2022 school year, we felt compelled to change the building, near Rruga e Kavaja in Tirana, to another one, in the area of ​​Mzezezi / Kashar (the former building of the "Aldent" University). In order to turn this building into an environment worthy of our standards, we acted according to the legal provisions by notifying the Ministry of Education...", "Mehmet Akif" College announces.

The old building of the girls' college at the beginning of Kavaja Street, at the intersection of "21 Djetori", was taken under a concession by the "Gulistan" Foundation for a period of 35 years. In the conditions when it was in the last years of the contract, the building was sold to businessman Sinan Idrizi.

Idrizi has been cooperating with this educational institution for many years by financing training for the students of "Mehmet Akfi". Being a business partner with this educational institution, Idrizi has undertaken the purchase of the college building.

Under these conditions, the new academic year for students who have chosen "Mehmet Akif" has started in the new building located in Kashar. However, it seems that this new facility, the former Alden University, did not meet the conditions and the Albanian government has decided to cancel its license.
